In Limbo Painkiller Hotel “Black Roses is strong, consistent in quality and power throughout its ten tracks. It’s almost hard to believe that this is the band’s debut, because their sound has a certain comfortable familiarity to it. Some of these songs seem to be made for radio airplay: smooth, polished and accessible, but still very much in the category of rock ’n’ roll. Highly recommended.” —Abigail Wright “Drawing comparisons to ’90s rockers Pearl Jam, Matchbox 20, Tonic and Live with the sentimental songwriting style of John Mayer, it seems Painkiller Hotel has found its niche in the music community. Performing a tiresome jam-packed schedule of over 100 tour dates a year over the last few years, the group is putting on a live show that is a must see.” —Suburban Nitelife Magazine Brickshy is a four-piece rock/power-pop band whose roots go back to a band formerly known as Gunderson. Still fairly new to the music scene as a rising act, all members of the band are experienced veterans of the music industry, each bringing their own eclectic tastes to the table. With Chad Braun on rhythm guitar/lead vocals, Matt Holborow on lead guitar/vocals, James Reed on bass and Phil Weseman on drums, Brickshy is taking their music to new heights. In August 2008, they recorded and produced their first demo CD; look for a full-length to come in the fall. With each member putting his heart and soul into each song, Brickshy strives to inspire their fans through their music. |
